New Manor Farm has an award-winning farm shop and butchers, a cafe and other businesses that are open seven days a week.
We rear beef, sheep and pigs to the highest welfare standards, supplying some of the best restaurants in the area, including the Pony & Trap.
Winners of the Somerset Centre of Management in Agriculture in 2024, we are one of many British farmers committed to tackling climate change, supporting the NFU’s aspiration for agriculture to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 0% by 2040. North Widcombe Farm is one of only a handful of UK farms to have an anaerobic digester, which converts farm by-products (including manure) into clean, low carbon energy that powers the farm and homes in a neighbouring village.
Somerset has some of the richest grazing land in England which the Gay family has been farming since 1525. Today, Colston, Celia and Thomas Gay continue to use some of the methods employed by their ancestors, including summer pasturing and wintering the cattle.
