Reared on a natural diet of grass, grains & cereals farmed by ourselves without using pesticides, this aids in the development of that deep complex flavour our beef is so famous for, also this helps to ensuring theirs enough fat covering & marbling on the finished animal.

All beef is Dry Aged the old fashion way in sides of beef for a minimum of 40 days to ensure the best taste & texture before our master butchers process the carcass to the highest quality using every part of the body to create zero waste.

Home-reared lamb
Our lambs are grass-fed for their entire lives and slowly grown until they naturally reach maturity. Maintaining our high standard of farming passed down through generations, we traditionally rear Charollais & Ciln breeds to give a unique flavour.

Our lambs graze on the lush pastures of the Chew Valley here in Somerset. We are proud to be able to offer our home-reared lamb from the farm, with Zero Food Miles and full traceability.

This means our lamb’s meat is rich & succulent which makes our lamb steaks, cuts and joints such a delicious delicacy.

Free range poultry
We are proud to to work with Devon-based farmers, Creedy Carver, widely seen as the finest quality farmers in the free range poultry business.

Reared on the rich pastures of Crediton by James & Peter Coleman, the birds are fed on a low energy diet to promote a slow, leisurely growth to produce a meat of full flavour with less fat. The birds are plucked using the traditional dry-plucked process with a hand finish, resulting in the best chicken or duck every time.

Here at New Manor we rear Rare Breed Middle White pigs all year round, giving them the best quality of life. They are kept a stone throw away from the Farm shop and are fed on a unique cereal diet. All of our pork has full traceability from farm to fork.

We only have guilt pigs (females) as they have a much sweeter and succulent flavour, and a perfect fat coverage. We receive the pigs from the abattoir in whole carcass form, which we hang for five days. This helps create a mouth-watering flavour and the best crispy crackling.
